Your monthly cycle has been made out to be a reoccurring inconvenience....

Maybe it’s time to flip the script and go with the flow.

Working in alignment with your monthly hormonal cycles could  be the key to producing some of your best work.

As women, our bodies undergo hormonal changes every month, which can impact mood, energy levels, and productivity. By becoming aware of our body's wisdom and making adjustments to our work habits that align with what’s happening within (as above, so below), we can enhance our output and accomplish our objectives more effectively.

1. On day one of the menstrual cycle, you begin to shed your uterine lining, or start to bleed. This marks the beginning of the menstrual phase, when it's essential to rest and rejuvenate, allowing the body to recover fully. This is the time to allow funnels and automations to work for you, and let it flow.

2. Estrogen levels begin to rise as the new cycle begins, and the follicular phase follows about a week later. Estrogen can boost creativity and energy levels, making this a great time to tackle complex projects, brainstorm new ideas, and take on challenging tasks.

3. The second half of the cycle begins with ovulation. This is the pique of your cycle! Focus on scheduling live events, launches, and important meetings around this time.

4. Right after ovulation, estrogen begins to dip and progesterone rises as the luteal phase begins. Now is the time to review backend processes and analytics, get reorganized and prepare for the upcoming cycle. (Don’t forget to set up those menstrual phase automations and scheduled posts!)

After speaking with a handful of doctors specializing in feminine health for a 2018 Forbes Women in Leadership, Alexandra Mysoor states, “Learning to sync your female hormonal cycle with your work and life schedule is the ultimate bio-hack that is helping women harness their energy and productivity.”
