Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Tent and yurt details?
A: When Spring 2025 hits, registration details will start to roll out. Each camper will have a choice to make at that point - yurt or tent camping! There are large, permanently placed 16 foot yurts that sleep six people each. Everyone is responsible for bringing their own blankets, pillows, and other sleeping gear! The twin mattresses in the yurt bunks do not have sheets on them. You will have the opportunity to choose bunkmates during registration if you are coming to camp with a friend.
If you are a seasoned tent camper and prefer the solitude (or sleeping under the stars with your bestie(s), you can bring ALL of your own camping gear and set up your own sacred space. This is only recommended if you are familiar with pitching a tent and setting up a campsite.
Q: Bathrooms and showers?
A: The bathhouse has six bathroom stalls and six private showers. Bring all of your own toiletries, bath towel, and shower shoes (flip flops). Be warned: The showers are sometimes chilly- you MAY catch a warm shower during less busy hours.
Q: Is there cell phone service?
A: The only provider that works on the ranch is AT&T. If you have a different provider, your cell phone will not work. We do not have a wifi router that can support a large group, so wifi is not available. There is a landline in the kitchen if needed for emergencies or special circumstances. Camp is a great time to disconnect, and it is encouraged! (As an on-call care provider, I understand this is not always possible. As a suggestion for those who need access to cell phone service and do not have AT&T: buy a temporary AT&T phone plan or 'burner phone' for the weekend.)
Q: Will there be coffee, tea, and water?
A: YES! There will be a self-service coffee and tea bar that opens in the morning from sunrise to breakfast, and again during the afternoon breaks. The water station will be open in the Great Hall 24/7. Guests should also bring a couple gallons of water for your personal stash in your yurt or tent.
Please bring your own reusable cups and water bottles! There will not be any disposable mugs or cups available on site.
Q: What's the food situation?
A: Alicia Richardson is a magician in the kitchen! She will be providing your delicious and nutritious daily meals with help from the camp crew. Alicia is aware of any food restrictions that you list on your Camp Customization Form (comes out in Spring 2025). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included in your camp experience.
Please bring some non-perishable snacks if you love to intermittently snack! If you are a meat eater, consider bringing some beef jerky or something to keep you satisfied. We are not serving any meat.
Keep in mind that our refrigerator space is limited, so we won't be able to store your snacks in the kitchen. You are welcome to bring a small cooler for your goodies. Please also note that trash space is limited! You are responsible for your snack trash - "pack it in, pack it out."
Q: Can I bring alcohol?
A: No. Summer Camp is an alcohol free event. Please leave the booze at home this time!
Q: Can I bring cannabis?
A: Yes! We are 420 friendly in designated smoke areas. :)
If you smoke joints, please do not leave ANY butts around the property, ANYWHERE. Also be aware that it IS fire season, so smoke responsibly. Do not ash onto the ground.
Be good stewards of the land, please.
Q: Should I bring any extra money?
A: Yes- bring CASH! There will be opportunities to buy handmade souvenirs and crafts from women in the community! The Trading Post will be open during free times. I highly recommend bringing cash, as the wifi is limited and using payment apps may prove to be difficult.
